FTSBK9 SS26 “MIDWEST” Showroom took place in the home of designer Albin Vikström, an aged falu-red wooden cabin situated in Vitabergsparken on Södermalm. Originally built for the groundskeeper responsible for the park, the house remains hidden among the trees, offering a sense of seclusion despite its location in the center of the city.
Once home to Vikström’s grandparents since the 1960s, the cabin remains filled with paintings by his grandfather, an artist whose depictions of the Swedish countryside and coastline cover both canvases and walls. The collection was presented using the house’s inherited furnishings and architectural traces: caps were placed on a shelf that used to belong to a built-in sofa, on one of the grandfather’s paintings resting on wooden trestles from the garden, and within the fireplace itself.
Displayed in Stockholm, SE, May 2026.
